Founded in 2007 Good Mojo Band has been successfully entertaining audiences for more than a decade with our mix of Dance and Rock favorites performed in a high quality live show.

Our goal is to provide you with the best dance music possible for your club, party, or other event. We pride ourselves on our broad musical repertoire. Our song catalog spans a variety of genres and musical eras, which allows us to appeal to a wide range of audiences and to deliver a family friendly performance tailored to our customer's specific tastes and requirements. We cover all the favorite hits from timeless artists like the Beatles, CCR, Eagles, and Rolling Stones, then move on to next-generation stars such as Pat Benatar, ZZ Top, Billy Joel, and AC/DC, to '80s and '90s dance favorites from artists such as the B-52s, Bryan Adams, and Billy Idol, and then round it all out with contemporary sensations like Adele, Duffy, and Pink. Good Mojo has something for everyone!

Good Mojo has played every type of musical venue around, including nightclubs, restaurants, bars, corporate functions, private parties, charity events, and the San Diego County Fair. We have rock 'n' rolled all over the county, including El Cajon's Downtown Cafe, Pine Valley Days, The Silver Gate Yacht Club, 94th Aero Squadron, Steele Canyon Country Club, DreamCatcher Lounge and V-Lounge at Viejas Casino, Seaport Village, Alpine Concerts in the Park, and many more.

MEMBERS

Good Mojo is made up of five experienced, professional musicians, dedicated to delivering the polished musical performance you expect. Let's meet them!

Chloe Lou vocals and percussion. Chloe has been singing her whole life. She gained confidence in public performing as a kid, doing musicals with Peter Pan Junior Theatre, and then branched out as a vocalist with the Grossmont College Jazz Ensemble. Chloe has been invited to sit in with popular San Diego band The Farmers, and has even sung the national anthem at Barona Speedway. She is a young singer with an old soul, and is well-versed in pop and rock music from the 1940s to today. In recent years she has exercised her golden pipes in her own original bands and still hones her musical skills by working on original material..

Larry Powers, drums and percussion. Larry has been playing percussion since he was a kid, pounding on any available surface with whatever implement was at hand, until — mostly to save the furniture — his parents finally bought him a drum kit. A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Larry was the driving force for several successful bands including Pretty Education, Binaural Damage, and The Pheasant Diggers, playing everything from jazz to classic rock to blues. Completely comfortable and highly experienced in virtually any style, genre, or era of music, "Captain Powers" now lends his considerable talents to Good Mojo as the man behind the kit.

Chris Whalen, guitar, keyboards, and vocals. Chris is an Irish-Scot New Englander known for his fondness for Guinness and his love of Thin Lizzy. "Long Hair Chris" grew up on a healthy diet of 70s hard rock and 80s metal bands. Picking up the guitar around age 14 he soon found himself in his first high school band, blasting out covers from contemporary rockers of the day including Judas Priest, AC/DC, and the Scorpions. In 2006 Chris was invited to join with original Good Mojo members Ron, Art, and Paul in what would come to be known as the Pine Valley Jam and BBQs. When Ron decided to put an official band together in 2007, LHC got a call and the rest is history.

Jules Whelpton, bass and vocals. Jules is a multitalented performer who plays bass and violin

Paul Villalobos, Vocals and Guitar. An original member of Good Mojo and now back for more!
